In 2024, I produced the cover art for the NHM's Wild World magazine to help celebrate the unveiling of Fern, the museum's new bronze diplodocus cast.
Fern replaces Dippy, the resin cast which for years adorned the museum's main hall and has since toured museums around the UK. The magazine's editorial team wanted to feature Fern on the cover as she might have appeared in life, so I produced this life restoration of a diplodocus longus in her natural environment. I included some small pterosaurs to help give some sense of scale and to help integrate Fern in her living environment, as an essential part of her ecosystem.
